Minister of Industry & Minerals claims for excluding his ministry from vehicles registration resolution

Ahmed al-Karbuli, who is the Minister of Industry and Minerals, claimed the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki for excluding the General Company for Cars industry from the resolution of the Cabinet related to prevention of importing the vehicles that general company participates in its production process.

Karbuli sent a statement to Maliki, which was received by the Iraqi media, cited stipulates that previously the Cabinet has ruled out the Ministry of Industry from the impacts of the resolution No. 467 of 2012 according to the resolution No. 151 of 2010, noting that in case this exception has been canceled, it would affect the supporting of the national industry in Iraq, negatively.

The Decree of the Cabinet states that referring to the resolution of the Council of Ministries No. 467 of 2012, which specifies that registering a new vehicle should be conditioned by omitting a file of an old vehicle.
