International Oil & Gas Conference starts in Erbil

The International Conference for the Oil and Gas has started in Erbil of Kurdistan Region in the participation of some local and international companies.

A statement by the Kurdistani Regional Government received by AIN cited "The opening session of the Conference that will continue for four days, witnessed the participation of the President of Kurdistan Region, the Ministers of the KRG and the Turkish Energy Minister in addition to some politicians and businessmen."

"No representative of the Iraqi oil sector will participate in the Conference, but the Deputy Premier, Ruz Nouri Shawis will attend the sessions," the statement added.

"More than 100 oil companies participate in this Conference," the statement concluded.
