Central Bank of Iraq issues new banknote of 10,000 Dinars

Central Bank of Iraq has announced issuing of a new banknote of 10,000 Dinars.
As per bank statement, received by local media, “The new banknote has technical characteristics of high security, though the trading will continue with old & new banknotes."
The Previous Council of Ministers decided on April 10, 2013 to hold the application of deletion of zeros from the national currency until further notice after deciding to apply earlier.
The officials at the central bank, in addition to some politicians and economists, urged the government to delete the zeros from the currency. They also urged for issuing of a new currency denominations large cash, in addition to issue small coins.
