More Iraqi-Turkish flights needed, ambassador | ||

Ministry of Transport announced today that the Turkish ambassador requested Transport Minister Baqir Jabur al-Zubaidi to increase the number of flights between the two countries. Ambassador Faruk Qaimaqchi called for developing air, land and maritime cooperation between the two sides. Ambassador Qaimaqchi called to increase the flights from three to four particularly during Muharam Month, which commemorated the martyrdom of Imam Hussein. Minister Zubaidi expressed readiness to develop relations and extended an official invitation to Turkish Communications Minister to visit the country, as well as the desire to benefit from the Turkish expertise. He stressed isolating politics from actual work, except the stands regarding terrorist actions against Iraq. | ||
