The Ministry of Transportation discussed with a delegation of the Chinese Company (DEC), regarding the details on the contract which was concluded between Iraq and China for equipping Iraq with full sets of passenger trains.
In a statement, The Ministry of Transportation reported, "The Iraqi General Company for Railways hosted a delegation of the Chinese company (DEC), which the MoT contracted with to equip Iraq with ten full sets of passengers' trains in return for USD (115) million, and the two sides discussed the assets of the contract and the delivery mechanism.''
The Minister of Transportation, Hadi al-Ameri has strictly instructed for adopting up to the dated technologies for developing the passenger trains.
He said that the ministry is committed towards the people of Iraq for serving them with high class services.
