The ministry of Trade in Iraq has recently indulged in a discussion with a Brazilian economic delegation the means to promote the mutual economic relations and the accession of Iraq to the World Trade Organization.
On Sunday, the ministry has reported to the news media, AIN, ''The Director General of the Foreign Relations Directorate within the Ministry of Trade, Hashim Mohamed Hakim, met the Head of the Iraqi delegation participating in the training course, which is taking place in Brazil, concerning the accession of Iraq to the WTO and the Brazilian Foreign Ministry Advisor who is in charge of the Middle East and Africa files.''
The statement that has been received from the ministry of trade has further added, ''The meeting tackled the most important topics regarding the development of economic relations between Iraq and Brazil and the efforts exerted by Iraq to join the WTO after obtaining the fully membership.''
The statement further pointed out, ''The Advisor of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the visit of the Iraqi delegation." It also noted, ''The support of the Government of Brazil to Iraq to join the WTO by offering all kinds of technical and consultative support to Iraq.''
