Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Iraq has stated that the ministry has ratified a nationwide plan for building 13 new universities, in different locations of Iraq.
In a press statement, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ali al-Adib stated that the project will include establishment of 28 faculties, specialized in different sectors and have insight in making use natural resources completely in the proposed project locations. This will ensure steady human development in the country, as hoped by the ministry.
A number of scientific and humanities faculties and departments also will be established, he said. With the cooperation plan with UNESCO, the new universities will be built and the whole plan will be carried out. The World Bank and UNICEF are also promised the country to develop the projects swiftly and provide grand human development in the country wide.
